anyone able to go into further detail with these instructions :

To get usable image for U64Emu use the "hdcomp -extract" option and prepend the following hex strings
KI: "4147 2034 3139 2031 3320 3437 0A" or KI2: "4147 2038 3133 2031 3620 3633 0A"
Also, for KI2 trim the file length to 419,586,061 (With above header) bytes (LBA had been used)


I dont get what program i should be using this extract option stuff with. Any kind of help with where I might even find the download for this img would be appreciated (ex. mirc, somelinkonthenet, etc). Please reply here or email [e-mail]. Thanks

you should use the program chdman.exe supplied with mame.
It compress/decompress the file to be a chd/img one.
the syntax is something like

chdman -extract filename

if your're not sure, try chdman /?
