i have a problem i cant get the img file from the chd can somebody help me i need step by step i got all the tools hdcomp, chdman, nekkid please help

try the chdman.exe binary that comes with mame
it extracts the chd files to img ones

i tried everything and the chdman of the last version of mame does not convert to img i need help or if it does i do not know how to input the command can you please tell me step by step how to? another thing 19 views and nobody can help?

i tried everything and the chdman of the last version of mame does not convert to img i need help or if it does i do not know how to input the command can you please tell me step by step how to? another thing 19 views and nobody can help? actually chdman does convert to img files the syntax should be something like chdman -extract INPUTFILE.CHD OUTPUTFILE.IMG try help if this syntax isn't correct (i don't remember yet) by typing chdman /? Btw. this question has been posted lots of times in the forum, you should seek the answer before posting for the same topic. Regards |

well glacius i understand that there are many posts on the topic, i think i counted 25 or something on the same topic but, i have yet to find one that can really answer anybodys question here, like how to append or preappend how to change the hex strings how to change to img and things like that. The sadest part that all the posts on this topic has plenty views but no answer so correct me if im wrong, and thnks for the help i got to change it now im trying to figure out the hex strings and other things if you can or anybody help it will be very welcomed.

If you have a fast connection don't deal with a hex string editor and download the ki.img for the u64emu.
That is the fastest solution if you don't know how to use a hex editor.

OK OK...HERE IT GOES...CHD TO IMG CONVERT:(FROM THE GREAT TECOLOTE,MYSELF):FIRST:make a folder called KI whith the kinst2.chd and the chdman in the root of C: ok? then...go to start,then run,and type: cmd & then a ms2 will open and type: cd c:ki (press enter) then you'll see this: KI: then, type: chdman -extract kinst2.chd ki2.img(press enter) and it will begin the convertion!!!when it finish,type :exit(press enter) you'll find your brand new ki2.img......but remember you must have your original roms,so it can run it.or,download original ones from www.planetemu.net good luck! the force will be with you....jajajaja i'm from el salvador c.a. tecoloteuno@hotmail.com |
